There are records that show a Robert Twiss as a shipping agent based in Rotterdam. A relationship with this bottle and his involvement with the manufacture of gin has not been established at this stage.

What is obvious is the rarity and character of this magnificent gin bottle. Side panel sealed gin bottles are extremely rare - this is only the second example that I am aware of.
